My fiancé had a suit fitting in the area on a weekday morning, I walked to Cafe Terrace to pick up a coffee. It's definitely in a walkable area, just a short ways off the main shopping strip. There's also some street parking around if you drive. Love the decor and the whole cafe has a great, modern, clean look. There's a good amount of seating but I could see how it could get packed during the weekends. Since I ordered takeout, I can't speak to how their dine in service is but the staff was really helpful when I had questions about the menu. Since it was a slow Monday mid-morning my drink was ready really quickly. I ended up going with an orange latte. I enjoyed it a lot. Orange lattes are hit or miss, but this one was a hit!

Closer to 4.5 than 4 stars, but decided to round down because while I'd be okay going out of my way to eat here again, I wouldn't wait too long in line for this place. That being said I am eager to come back if I can find a few friends/coworkers to come with me. The menu had a lot of interesting options, but dining solo meant I couldn't try as many things as I wanted to (I only had one dish ahaha). Mushroom cream pasta - I can see why the reviews are mixed on it. When you get it piping hot, the sauce slides right off making it seem watery and bland. As it cooled down, the sauce stuck better to the noodles and the creamy, mushroom sauce really becomes the highlight. So rough start on this pasta during my first few bites, but once I realized the sauce was thickening and binding better with the pasta as it cooled down, I enjoyed it so much more. The garlic bread is yummy too of course hahaha. It does take awhile for food to come out so even if you're seated immediately and order right away, you'll be waiting a bit. I think the kitchen in the back might be a bit small. Ambiance was interesting hahaha mainly because I wasn't expecting to see people studying/doing work here. Thought it would be purely social because it leans a little on the loud side (mostly because there's a decent amount of seating for a smallish space). I saw two tables for large groups. There's two private gender neutral bathrooms, but the sink to wash your hands is outside the restroom. Overall, this is a great spot to catch up with someone and the menu is intriguing. Definitely worth checking out!

A new favorite brunch place! Some of the Asian fusion brunch places have gone downhill as the lines get longer, so I'm hoping this place bucks the trend. Service is pretty quick, and they mainly have tables that seat 4. I've already been here a couple times and have never been disappointed. My go to is the Salmon Open Sandwich, which comes atop a croffle (so if you wanted to try one, get this instead). Topped with stacks of salmon, avocado, lettuce, and a generous splash of hollandaise sauce, it is such a huge serving for one person. The side of fries (included!) is also quite crispy and just salty enough (I've had it with fries being an afterthought at restaurants - this place does them justice). Honorable mentions to their pastas (good portion sizes and a free piece of garlic bread. Stir to make sure the sauce is mixed well) and their tiramisu pancakes (melty chocolate chips and a shot of espresso to pour over, oh my!). The ube latte and einschpanner are great sweet and caffeinated drinks, respectively. The lotus donut was a bit surprising, though. It was tasty but had the consistency of cake, which was not what I expected. And the shakshuka was probably the most "just okay" dish I've tried, being on the smaller and colder side of dishes. Lines are nonexistent outside of peak brunch times, and I'll keep coming back as long as that remains the case.

Such a cute brunch spot, right next to busy Castro street! My friend and I came here on a Friday for brunch/lunch and we both got seated pretty fast. I ordered the smoked salmon salad and she got a bulgolgi omelette, and our server was pretty attentive with taking our order for food/drinks and water refills. Honestly the food is super aesthetic and even the salad was a super big portion size! My only qualms are that the prices are rather high (around $20 or more for salad or specialty dishes) and my food/coffee gave me quite a stomach ache and a bad case of the runs right after I finished eating Not sure what exactly triggered the bathroom episode, but if I come again I might try ordering something different
